After being on the road for the first two months of summer, Merrill has been writing up a storm as of late, working hard to complete the songs that will make up the band's third studio album. The guys will also be returning to the west coast in early September for a run of shows in California and Oregon. Well folks, I have a confession to make: I’ve gone country. Yup, back to my roots. That is, I’m going to be planting some new roots…..in Nashville, Tennessee! My guitar and I are headed to the capitol of country music come the New Year to live the life.
With this awesome news comes the not-so-awesome; Elijah Johnson will be leaving Merrill at the beginning of the year. He’ll be staying in Portland to keep the rock alive. So don’t worry, you’ll still get to see him performing around town. In the meantime, be sure to check out our calendar for your chance to catch all of our west coast shows before I head off!
